What is needed in the motorhome

August 30, 2007 by

A few years ago I thought I would get organized (yes I did), I cleaned cabinets and drawers in the kitchen.  I either threw away, or got rid of at garage sales lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and kitchen items..  Now I wish I had some of that back.  Guess it is off to another round of garage sales to buy the things I did not need anymore.  Guess it shows, never get organized too early in life, never know when you might get a new toy and have nothing to go in it.  Oh well…..

Emmett’s Belated Birthday Party

August 27, 2007 by

We had a belated family birthday party for dad (grandpa) yesterday.  He had a wonderful time as many of his family members were there.  Daughter Lynda and Fred from California, Granddaughter Wendy, Tony and Nate and Keegan came up from Ft Collins.  Granddaughter Jamie and her baby Kaylee from Sheridan, Wyoming.  In town family members were also there.  Steve and I, Son Randy and his wife Colleen and her daughter Katie, Grandson Christopher and his fiance Lindsay and their daughter Brooklynne. Granddaughter Stephanie, Mike and Ashley and Stephen came later.  Several other family members and friends stopped by.  Dad had a great time whistling to Karoke music, singing and he and Betty even danced a couple of dances.  Happy Birthday belated dad and many more….

NOPE………….Not Yet!

August 25, 2007 by

No motorhome yet.  Left an offer on the table – I think it was very fair.  Evidentally another interested party they want to contact because, of course, they want as much as they can get.  I understand that but……….decided to gamble a little and not go up.  I think we still have a great shot but will probably have to wait a few days to find out.

All will evolve the way it is supposed to eventually ….. whichever way that is!

Is this MotorHome day?

Vic & I have an appointment at 9:00 AM today to see if we can negotiate the purchase of a 1995 Fleetwood Southwind.  Kind of a whimsical adventure that I am still trying to understand …. but hey, I’m excited to see what happens!

Very nice unit, very well kept mechanically, alot of nice features particularly for a 12 year old unit.  Frankly the only thing that gives me pause is the exterior.  It’s kind of weather-faded (spent alot of time in AZ in the sun) and some of the dark finish has absorbed enough heat that there is some bubbling underneath the surface. Nothing disfunctional -we just won’t win any beauty pageants.

More to come I am sure.
