Saturday Nooner Update

Well, let’s see. Where to begin.
Braelyn is sleeping in her bassenet (sp?) over by the windows. She is a wiggler… she has managed to turn herself in a completely different direction than when she started. While I was taking a shower this morning, she quickly fell alseep to the soothing sounds of Dave Matthews Band Live Trax 5. Produest Money was playing and she was out. Note to self: Brae likes DMB! Whew.
In bed this morning, Braelyn snuggled up to me. I did manage to fall back asleep, despite continual worrying about rolling on her or my pillow smothering her or something. All turned out good! The funniest thing about it was when Rebecca came back in and saw where Braelyn was laying, she asked how in the world I was able to sleep in less than two feet of bed on the edge. Well, honey, you tought me well. Braelyn is just like her mom… a bed hog.
I keep getting text message updates from Stephanie Murphy. Brock is wrestling over in Lees Summit. I was going to go, but it started at 9 and I didn’t get out of bed until 10 or so. Anyway, he won his first match, lost his second, won is third and will be wrestling soon for 3rd place. He wrestles again tomorrow in Gardner (former home of Rebecca & Spencer Montgomery!) I intend to go watch him some tomorrow.
Guitar lessons today at 3:30 pm. Moved them back to Saturdays for the next few months, at least until boating season begins. Speaking of, the Murphys bought a condo and yesterday put a deposit on a Cobalt 302 sport boat. So, we will chill on Wastin’ Time and do water sports on their yet-to-be-named boat. I think we’ll be spending a bunch of time at the lake this summer.
So, the night of my last post regarding the death of my high school friend Angie Noonan, I did in fact shoot off an e-mail to Jubal Yennie. He got back to me within minutes… he had not heard the news. He asked how I was, what was going on in my life, etc. Was nice to know he remembered me. The next morning, Shawn Porter called… he had read my blog. He gave me some news he had heard about Angie from one of our other high school friends, Marty Mohr. Marty is back in Casper, has a couple of kids, and is a physical therapist. Marty lived right down the street from me. I haven’t spoken to him in years. My mom saw his wife, who is a vet at the same place she takes the pug-girls. Anyway, it was good to hear from Shawn again… I think we’ll keep in better touch hopefully. Said the details surrounding Angie’s departure weren’t clear and really weren’t being spoken about. I was pleased to hear that it did not sound like suicide or anything like that. My mom sent her parents a card.
Sister Stephanie posted a thoughtful blog over at TheLovatos.com where she brought up the fact that three of her former students (sis has been stuck in the 2nd grade for a decade and a half now) have passed. She also referenced two former teachers, one whom I had (Mr. Callahan) who have passed. Reminded me of losing a player that I coached when he was in 5th and 6th grades. I coached Grant King at Manor Heights Elementary School in Casper. He played volleyball and basketball for me. when he had moved on to Junior High, he died unexpectedly of a brain ameurysm. Unbelieveable things happen. All for a reason, no doubt. Doesn’t make sense though.
Text message just received: Brock is wrestling in about 20 minutes for 3rd place. He will get a medal no matter what, so we know he will be exited. Last week he took 4th and 1st in consecutive tournaments. Hopefully he takes to wrestling like his dad. If he’s anything like my nephews Nathan and Keegan, he will be a little stud.
Well, I guess that’s enough rambling for this mid-day Saturday. Well, one last thought: Keep these idiots out of the white house.

Something strange has happened to one of our grandsons…. Check out the pictures in the Gallery, family photos, Lovato’s. I think he has been brained washed. Still a cute kid though. He still loves the ROCKIES though. In a blog I have been doing on cruisecritic.com I found out that the cruise we are going on in March will have a bunch of Boston ball players. That should be fun. Guess we should all wear out Rockie’s purple and black. Once the Rockies win the pennant, that would probably cause a riot on the cruise ship.
.
It snowed here this week end. Melting nicely, but once this starts I am ready for a cruise. I could skip the holidays this year, although I know that wont happen. Am I beginning to sound like my dad? Lets just get to the new baby. Maybe she will come a bit early and even be a tax deduction for 2007. I have looked at all the sonogram pict’s and I must say looks like she will be a typical baby in our family… no hair. Most of them were bald or so blond you could not see their hair. I said most Nate, Courtney and Stephen.
Steve survived the big birthday. Nothing too exciting. He has opted out of Social security for a few more years. (Hope it will still be there when we are ready to take it. ) I am not sure, but I think I will check out taking mine when I am 62. Not sure yet, just have to see.
Enough from me today. Have lots to do before I get to take a few day break for the baby shower in a few weeks. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and every critter in OP.
