Steelers to lose Super Bowl Trophies
Pittsburgh, PA. The Super Bowl XLIII Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, the only team to win six titles, will soon be losing half of those trophies. After a meeting between NFL Commissioner Rodger Gadel and President Barack Hussein Obama, Obama decided to redistribute half of their Steeler Super Bowl victories and trophies to less fortunate teams in the league.
“We live everyday in the country that invented the Super Bowl.” said Obama “We are not about to lose this Great American tradition in the wake of these difficult times.” Obama’s plan calls for the Steelers, who are a successful NFL team, to give half of their Super Bowl trophies to teams that are not successful or have not been as successful as the Steelers. “The Detroit Loins are just as much a part of the same fiber of the NFL as the Steelers and they should, no rather will, be entitled to a Super Bowl Trophy as well.” Obama explains in his plan that he has imposed on Godel and the NFL.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, who by virtue of hard work, excellent team play, stellar draft choices, responsible investing of free agents, careful hiring of coaches and excellent community service and commitment to their fans, has prospered greatly during the past 30 years and have won six Super Bowl Trophies. But President Barack Hussein Obama’s plan calls for the Pittsburgh Steelers to carry the larger burden of the NFL’s less successful teams. Obama went on to further proclaim, “In these difficult times we are all in this to work together. We must reclaim the NFL Championship Dream for every team, for every city and for every fan.”
“My plan will not affect 31 of the 32 teams in the league.” Obama assures. That’s over 95 percent of the teams in the NFL will not have to worry about loosing any Super Bowl Trophies. “The worst teams in the NFL and the teams that can’t seem to get a break and win a championship will no longer have to worry about going without a title.” Obama promises. “We are a country and league of hope. We all need to make a change. It does not matter the color of the teams uniforms, the personal decisions that the teams make or their performance but rather if they are a member of this great American league.”
The Super Bowl XLIII trophy will be redistributed to the 0-16 Detroit Lions. Through no fault of their own incompetence, the Lions could not manage a victory all season and this trophy will help ease the pain of their lack of performance and give them hope once again. The redistribution of Super Bowl XL trophy will go directly to the Steeler’s division rival the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals who also have fallen on hard times have never won a Super Bowl. This victory will bring a smile to hundreds of Bengal fans all over the world as they can now celebrate. Finally, one of the Steeler’s two Super Bowl victories over the Dallas Cowboys will go back to the Cowboys since the league needs to provide hope in the face of difficulty and provide hope in the face of uncertainty. This is a heavy burden for the Steelers but together we can all prosper.
All hope is not lost for Pittsburgh fans, Barack Hussain Obama has another plan in place. Obama has meet with MLB and commissioner Bud Selig on a similar plan. The New York Yankees will redistribute two of their world series trophies to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a supplement to their losing 16 straight seasons and counting. This plan will help stimulate the Pirates and enable them to regain the American Dream. Barack Hussain Obama will be meeting with the NHL and Michael Phelps in the upcoming weeks as this issue is high on his agenda for “Hope and Change.”
Obama provides hope to NFL teams. Steelers must now share their wealth and fruits of their success and hard work.
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters,

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters,
We’ve stuck together since the late 1950s, but the whole of this
latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I
know that we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of
future generations, but sadly this relationship has run its course.
Our two ideological sides of America cannot and just will not ever
agree on what’s right. So let’s just end it right now while we can do
it on friendly terms. We can smile, shake hands, chalk it up to
irreconcilable differences and each go our own way.
So here’s a model separation agreement.
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each
taking a portion. That’s going to be the difficult part, but I’m sure
our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should
be relatively easy. Our respective representatives can effortlessly
divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate
taste.
We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can have those. You are
welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.
And since you hate guns and you hate war, we’ll take the firearms, the
cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and
Rosie O’Donnell. But you are going to be responsible for finding a
biodiesel vehicle big enough to haul them around.
We’ll keep the capitalism, the greedy corporations, the pharmaceutical
companies; we will keep Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have the
homeless, the homeboys, the hippies and illegal aliens. We will keep
the hot Alaskan hockey moms, the greedy CEOS and all of the rednecks.
We’ll keep the Bibles and we’ll let you have NBC and Hollywood.
You can be nice to Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to
invade and hammer anybody that threatens us.
You can have the peaceniks and the war protesters. When our allies or
our way of life are under assault, we will provide them with security.
You won’t have to worry about it. We will keep our Judeo-Christian
values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley
Maclaine. You can also have the UN, but we will no longer pay the
bill.
We will keep the SUVs, the pickup trucks and the oversize luxury cars.
You can have the compacts, the subcompacts and every Subaru station
wagon you can find. You can give everybody healthcare, if you can find
any practicing doctors. We will continue to believe that healthcare is
a privilege and not a right. We will keep “The Battle Hymn of the
Republic” and the national anthem, and I am sure you will be happy to
substitute in their place “Imagine.” I’d like to teach the world to
sing “Kumbaya” or “We are the world.” We will practice trickle-down
economics and you can give trickle-up poverty your best shot.
And since it so offends you, we will keep our history, our name and
our flag.
Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along other like-minded
liberal and conservative patriots. And if you do not agree, just hit
delete. In the friendly spirit of parting, I’ll bet you ANWAR which
one of us will need whose help in about 15 years.
Sincerely,
John J Wall
Law student and an American
P.S. You can also have Barbara Streisand and Jane Fonda
A Few Thoughts….
September 22, 2008 by Ryan Elledge
1) New pictures uploading right now. I just started them and there are 590 new pics going into the gallery. From Spencer playing soccer, Braelyn watchin’ and being beautiful, to the Murphy kids (including Brock and Michael each playing football), the Big Dawg Hoover, some misc. shots, etc… a bunch of new pics going up.
2) Glad The Dad made it back home from Germany. Read all about it at TheElledges.com.
3) Had a nice dinner tonight with Spencer’s grandparents Bill & Linda… they watched the game and then we went out for some delicious Italian food. Great people, they are. Enjoyed the political discussion. Spencer’s grandpa gets it.
4) Surprised at how many people don’t get it. Maybe I don’t get it… maybe bigger government, more taxes on businesses, mandated health care, etc are all good things. For a lazy society… a society of whiners who want everything handed to them on a silver platter… I guess it would be a good thing. Such a sad world we live in. And when they all come back to the war in Iraq… forgetting that even most Democrats supported it… it’s amazing. The simple thought that the government (Repub or Dem) knows how to spend our hard earned money better than we do is laughable. Show me a congress who will approve a line item veto and I will show you hell frozen over, followed by controlled spending by the government. We can dream, can’t we? And to insinuate that I don’t want to help people by giving more of my money is the most liberal, obnoxious, bull #@*! (sorry for the language, couldn’t tone that one down) garbage anyone could spew. I’m really fed up with it… but I am quickly becoming (or have already become) a minority. I tell you what… I have wanted to work hard to make sure Braelyn has a good life ahead of her. Guess I don’t really need to. Uncle Sam will take care of her… yeah, right. Let’s forget that groups out there want nothing more than to take this country down. Let’s take funding away from our military and take it to the lows of the Clinton era. And, then, let’s watch 9/11 X 10 take place. Enjoy your free healthcare, folks… don’t worry, the government will tell you when and which doctor you can go see. Sorry if you need a heart specialist but only an orthodontist is available. Oh, and unlike the Canadians who manage to sneak there way down here for proper healthcare, you can’t just run over the border. Unless Tijuana has made advances. Oh well, didn’t mean to go down this route, but am just in awe of the crap a few of my former classmates have thrown up on my facebook page. Thrown up… interesting choice of words. Well, fitting, really.
Peace to ya’ll.
Minority or not… I WILL vote McCain/Palin and I will feel good about it.

I’m not sure where all of that was coming from but I could hear his Ma in the background and he said something about her kicking him out of the house? LOL

Olympics and More
August 11, 2008 by Ryan Elledge
Laying here in bed watching the olympics. The mens gymnastics is on, and they are quite impressive. Looks like they should medal, unless they fall flat on their face on the horse. They had the lead, but China took it back after their vaults, which they are favored in. Michael Phelps is an animal in the pool. Really fun to watch.
Braelyn hasn’t been feeling well, but we attribute that to the little white spec on her lower left gums. Yep, Brae, who turned 7 months just days ago, is getting her first tooth. Cute little girl is slobbering more than Hoover drools. That, in and of itself, is an impressive feat!
Spencer starts back to school this Friday. Freshmen only report on Friday, everyone else on Monday. Though he doesn’t admit it, I think he’s pretty excited to start this new chapter. He attended a soqueer camp today… yep, he’s playing soqueer this year. Opps, I keep spelling that wrong. He plays soccer this year. He’s excited, and though I am a pure baseball guy (which means, naturally, that I hate soccer) I am happy he’s doing it. He’s good at it (so he tells me!), and it will give me a high school “sport” to watch! It’s all good… I enjoyed watching soccer when I was in high school.
Me, well, I am just working. I may go to the lake this weekend, but not really sure. Pretty much just a week of work, coming home, playing the guitar a bit, and watching the olympics. I did get a letter from the OP police department saying they found my complaint against “Officer” Sheperd “unfounded.” Go figure. They hope my future experiences with the OP police department are more positive, however. Yeah, I’m sure they will be. Hope they call me and ask me for a donation of some sort. I’ll donate… really, I will. I wonder, does sarcasm come through in a blog post? I will scan the letter and post it sometime, unless it blows away or gets rained on. It’s laying on my table on the patio.
Olympics update: we just screwed up on the horse. Two guys to save the silver. C’mon, USA.
Rebecca and Hoover are sleeping. Nothing really new. Hopefully Hoover will get busy with a video soon. I know we have some great footage of him going after the sprinklers on Sunday. He’s modest and doesn’t like producing videos of himself, but I will see if I can talk him into it.
Until next time, keep working hard to keep Obama out of the White House. My pocketbook demands that.

On Da Road Again

Sitting here in the passenger seat of Gabe’s new 2008 Honda Accord. I think it’s 2008, doubt the 09′s are out yet. Nonetheless, nice ride. We’re driving through the rain right now on the way to the lake. Getting the condo and the boat ready for a summer of sun. At least I think the sun will be coming. Hopefully this weekend. Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be nice. Braelyn and Rebecca will be coming down tomorrow evening with Stephanie and 3/4 of the Murphy kids. Michael is staying back with Debbie, Gabe’s mom, as he has a flag football game on Sunday. Hoover and the other dog are hanging with other dogs at the boarding place.
It’s raining pretty hard. Just pulled the map up and looks like we’ll be out of the rain soon. I hope so. I hate being a passenger when it is raining. I don’t mind driving in the rain… I guess you feel more confident in your own skills. I just look down here at the laptop screen and block out the rest. Another 40 miles or so and we should be out of the rain… for awhile at least.
Work just called. NS1 has been down for 30 minutes. Great news. NS1 is one of our name servers. Thankfully people use at least two nameservers, so it shouldn’t really impact any of our clients.
We’re in a patch of no rain. Yeah. Radar says it’s only a small part.
Braelyn is doing awesome. She is so much fun. This morning she chilled in bed with me for about 30 minutes, just smiling and laughing at my stupid rhymes. She is going to be so embarassed by me when she grows up. She is a doll.
Well, enough meaningless rambling. Does help clear my head off work. Things are crazy at work and will be for the forseeable future.
Take care, and keep Billary out of the White House!

Back in the OP
February 24, 2008 by admin
We arrived back into Kansas City and ultimately the OP about 5pm tonight after spending the past 4 days or so in the mountains of the Rockies… at Keystone. Had a great time skiing and boarding, though I am hobbling a bit due to twisting my left knee. Yesterday, I didn’t plan on even going I was so sore. But, all 4 Murphy kids, Stephanie and Rebecca were going to go and I knew that Gabe would likely need my help, especially with Brock and Jacob. Sure, the Murphy kids all took a full day of ski lessons on Thursday, but on Saturday, up the real lift to tackle their first green. Plus, Rebecca and Stephanie… not so experienced either. So I decided to turn in my snowboard and get skis again, as I would be of much better assistance. Despite my knee hurting like hell, I managed. It took probably close to 90 minutes or more to get down the run with the kids. Michael… he did awesome. Lauren, she did quite well, too. Brock, who I was assisting, did awesome for part of the time, but crashed enough, got cold enough, and legs tired enough that he was crying hard and just having a miserable time towards the end. It’s too bad, too, because when he wasn’t frustrated from falling, he did quite well for his first time. Then there was Jacob. Jacob started slow. Gabe was working with him, though Gabe was on a board. Most improved award definitely goes to Jacob. By the end, he could “french fries” and “pizza” with the best of them! Was awesome to see. He was excited, too.
I almost got in a fight over the skiing. With only 100 yards to go, some azzhole came around the corner and told me “that kid needs to learn how to watch where he’s going.”"That kid” was my surrogate son Brock, who was not in anyones way. We were on a green slope, not a blue, not a black. I proceeded to tell the guy where he could go, probably what to do with his poles, etc. The 45 year old-ish azz puffed his chest but ultimately turned and finished the run. I didn’t see him on the bottom, but I was ready.
Stephanie and Rebecca did well! Rebecca only crashed twice… and both times were within a few minutes and while she was standing!
After the 90+ minute run, we all went back to the condo for a breather. Later that afternoon, all but me, Braelyn, Brock and Jacob went back for more. Michael made 3 solid runs, Lauren two, and Stephanie and Rebecca one. All did really well, I am told. I stayed back and took a hottub with Brock and Jacob and hung out with big Brae and Mima (Gabe’s mom, Debbie, who was a wonderful babysitter for us!)
Speaking of Braelyn, she had a great trip. She didn’t fuss on the airplane. She traveled well. I was so pleased. It was good practice for the cruise in just two short weeks. From snow to scuba diving, all in a 2 week span. Gotta love life!
Speaking of loving life… Billary seems to be slipping! And now she’s getting downright nasty! Who’d of thunk?! (Note to Rebecca: I purposely used improper English there… no need to try and get me back!) May be bad for the Repubs to have Obama the Dem nominee, but if the Repubs don’t win, I would rather Obama than… oh wait, either one is taking more from me, spending more on universal health care (Canadians prefer coming to the US for healthcare… hmmm), and preparing to surrender in Iraq. Ugh. Dilemna.
Oh well… I hear the baby fussing right now, better go give Rebecca a hand.
Nighty night, ya’ll.
